I added a Hippo Tang, and now he and the copperband have white spots.

I am sure it is Ich.

I cannot catch them and treat separately with Copper, treatment must be in the tank.

Which of these have you had experience with? Seachem Aquazole or Kent Rx P

I have two anemone's LTA and Carpet, star polyps and of course crabs snails shrimp.

Thanks!!

To my knowledge there is no product that is "reef safe" that is considered consistently effective against ich. I would not place either of those products in my reef tank and would go the "chicken soup" method which focuses on keeping stress levels down, improving water quality, and providing healthy food. Sometimes the fish's own immune system will help it ward off ich.

Thanks!

All the parameters are good, I think it may have been brought on by stress.

The fish are eating and swimming actively, no change in behavior.

Should I just leave them alone and hope that it goes away?

Hmmm I have having the same problem, when I uped to a new tank I nearly killed my hippo because there was no oxygen in the bucket I fished it over to. It had ich befor in the older tank and went away and now in the new tank hes covered with it, but it is swimming around and eats alot and breathes normal. I was wondering is there anything else that can be done like hypoing the display tank?

He seem sto be better, ut that could be the next phase of the cycle, where it drops off into the tank.

I am going to add an ozone generator for overall health, hopefully it will stem the outbreaks.

Meanwhile, one of the sponsors, NO MORE SICK FISH seems to have a product that could help, so I ordered it just in case the outbreak becomes worse.

The Copperband seems to have dropped the spots altogether.

Perhaps they are fighting it with their own immunity.

There are some pretty nasty threads concerning No More Sick Fish .. suggest you use the search feature and make up your own mind.
