Are 2 6000's too much flow for my 70G?

My tank has a 36 X 18 footprint and is 26" high. I noticed some die off from a torch and plate coral that were sitting on the substrate in the front center of the tank which were blowing around a little much. That was with just one 6000 mounted in the back corner of the tank and blowing diagonally towards the front center of the tank. I just bought another 6000 with a multicontroller to mount the same way on the opposite side of the tank. Do you think this will be too much?

Any help is appreciated as I don't want to start losing more corals...Thanks!

Flow is not the single biggest factor in a coral living or dying, the same is true of light. Simply adding more flow will not guarantee your plate coral will live.

As far as 2x 6000s in a 70g... thats a LOT of flow. You might need to turn down both Streams to stop a total sand storm.

2-6000, interval 2, 30-100%

It can be done, though on opposite sides they'll storm your sand. For a torch and plate I'm not sure move flow is going to help though.

I agree that flow is probably not the solution for a plate or torch, in fact they will probably suffer from this higher flow.
