Are any urchins appropriate for a 55?

Pretty much what the title says, I'm interested in possibly getting an urchin for a 55. I am trying to breed banggaii, but I don't think I want a diadema. Would a pencil or other short spined urchin do ok?

My tank has been up for about 10 months now, it's a 55 DT with a 40 sump, around 75-80 gallons total volumn.

Livestock is:
2x frogspawn
2x trumpets
4x pocillapora
1x turbinaria
2x sun coral
1x torch coral
1x lobo brain
1x meat coral
1x sinularia
small acan colony
GSP
zoos
mushrooms

1x dragon/barred goby
1x Molly Miller blenny
1x banggaii, waiting for a mate
1x mandarin, eating target fed bbs and being weaned onto frozen
assorted hermits & snails

i have a pencil urchin in my 75g. and he seems to be doing well so far. lots of live rock to eat off of. i'm not an expert on them or anything just my experience so far for about a month now with my urchin. the pencil isn't the prettiest one in the bunch but it's cool and adds diversity in my tank which is what i am going for.

hope something in that helps you lol.

I've had a Zebra Urchin in my 55 for almost a year now. It seems to be doing very well and hasn't created any problems.

Rock boring also gets my vote. I have had one in my 30 gal for two years now and never have had any problems. They stay small and have never moved or knocked over anything in the tank in the two years that I have had it.

I have two pencil urchins in my 75 and there's more coralline than they can eat....i.e. the coralline is winning. They do tend to rearrange some of the smaller rockwork from time to time. Mine are also algae magnets, spines are covered with hair algae, but that's ok, better there than on the rock.

what size rocks do the pencil urchins move? i just added one to my tank today since i got it for free

will i have any problems with it munching on corals?
