Are bottom fish problem

Hope someone has some input. Well i had a maroon clown ina 60 with triggers and a grouper and he was doing good. But in fear of future hostility i put him in A 20 all by himself. Now hes hugging the floor glass and isnt swimming around , just stays in the same spot. Hes obviously isnt getting bullied so all i can think of is the bare bottom glass. Do u think he could be stressed without sand? Maybe if he was wild caught and is a little disoriented?

How long has it been in the 20 gallon? It may just be stressed and getting used to the new tank.

its been in there 4 days now...

do you have any cover for him? if you have a pretty bare tank, he is feeling very vulnerable and stressed.

there is live rock in there with a couple caves. When I say bare bottom I mean there is no sand just live rock.

That's why I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put sand in there so he feels more at home(ocean).
