Are fairy wrasse fussy about females?

Its quite hard to get female fairy wrasse locally so i may not be able to get a female of the same species if i can get one. I'm looking to get a female for a Cirrhilabrus filamentosus, not with any intention of breeding but to try and add interaction and bring out the colour of the male.
Would a single female of a closely coloured species be excepted? I know they can hybridise naturally so hoping it won't be a problem. Would a single female be ok?

I always buy female juveniles to save money and watch them turn. Add in another male fairy wrasse to keep the colors up.

But be very careful mixing more wrasses in with an established filamentosus. It's an aggressive species and it doesn't always work.

Its a model citizen at the moment. My bud popped in today and he said that because it is still young i should be patient, it hasn't even developed its dorsal extention so is transitioning, at least thats what i'm told.
I do have a yellowfin flasher in there and it was added after the filamentosus and there hasn't been any hint of aggression. Quite the opposite in fact they follow each other just incase the other scares up some tasty morsal.
