Are "reds" harder to grow?

I have a bunch of srooms, greens, blues, hairy, etc., but only one red. I've had it several years, and it produced one offspring, which didn't survive.
Are the reds more difficult to grow, or do they need different conditions than the others? I recently moved it into higher light, but it didn't seem to like that- and the previous owner had it under halides. (I'm running T5's)
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Mike

I never knew different colors of corallimorphs had differnt growth rates. My tank is pretty terrible and i've gotten a red mushroom to split into two. So it might just be your mushroom...?

reds are very easy to grow in most cases, its not so much the color difference though it you're talking about the "common" mushroom, now when you start with all the different morphs, chemistry, flow, lighting, all come into play.

Reds are my newest nightmare! the rock on the right had to be pulled out it was completely covered. this is an old photo that dosen't show how fast they grow but the whole right side of my tank is covered.. as far as low light... these guys are under 400 w halides and Vho Atinics and don't seem to mind at all.

The red ones grow like weeds for me. I've got them growing in little patches in the corners of my tank, as well as in big patches on two large rocks. A lot of them let loose from their rock and blow to new spots.
