Are these Premium Snowflakes or not?

I bought these 2 from a guy I work with, he told me he ordered them from Live Aquaria and they were both ORA Premium Snowflakes. It's not a big deal to me if there not, I'd just like to know. I'm pretty sure the female is but the male might be slightly questionable. He told me he could show me documentation but I said that won't be necessary because he pretty much gave me his entire Elos system.

id say yes they are, they look beautiful

Thank you, I was just reading on the ORA web site and I'm pretty positive they are too. They both have the "baby blue hue" on the edge of the white. I totally regret putting them in the DT now. I have to set that Elos system up and get them out ASAP. This is by far the best deal I've ever gotten. (2) Premium SF's & a few other fish/coral, an Elos Midi with sump, and 400 gallons of RC salt for $$$, it would make you sick!

premium is a subjective term...I have seen many "premium" grade snowflakes on LA and DD that vary tremendously in their patterns and I think its more a case of pricing for them.

I was told by a few breeders that premium snowflakes were considered to have two of their three bands linked together, as the one in your first pic shows.
Standard grade snowflakes, sometimes referred to as "semi" snowflakes, have three separate bands.

Of course, as I said already, this is all subjective as I have seen others grade their "premiums" based on pattern uniqueness.

does it really matter though...yeah it's a nice thing to brag about but it really all comes down to how much you enjoy them. would you enjoy them any less if they were labeled comon?

Thanks for the help everyone. It doesn't matter to me either way, common or not, I'm keeping them. I was just curious. I don't want them in my DT because its way to tough in there for these guys. I should've sumped them until I get that new tank up and running, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pictures when I get it going.
