Are these reef safe?

I have heard they are not and should be kept in their own tank. Everything in the tank that has an opening needs to be covered otherwise these guys will get out.

If it's a predator it will eat either your fish or your corals or your inverts. This one will eat a and c, most likely, and the waste of a predator will create a nitrate problem, which corals don't like at all. Besides, it just ate your cleaning crew.

I love how the listing says they are great for any tank AND

"The octopuses also eat frozen fish and shrimp as well as live gold fish, live shrimp, snails and crabs.

So your entire cleaning crew and most likely sleeping fish!

These guys are good exscape artist, they will find away out of your tank if not secured tightly.:thumbdown thats my best answer.

I just had a though, would they be ok with coral? I mean i know they will eat anything snail, crab or fish like....but what about a small tank with some zoa's or shrooms and an octo?
