are these snails good??

i bought these Ilyanassa snails (Ilyanassa obsoleta)... i was wondering if they are good???

Never heard of them However, they look identical to Nassarius snails. Assuming that is what they are, they will stir the sandbed a bit while moving around, but they are carnivours and won't touch algae. They're good for getting food that the fish miss though.

they are often sold as Nassarius snails. they are from colder waters, and theres a huge debate about them. i would say they are fine to use, but they wont live a full life in a warm reef tank. short life being 1-2 years instead of many more.
