I've had this pair for 6+ years now, and as they get older I am noticing more and more differences between the two. So, now I am wondering if there are actually both Clarkiis. I have a bunch of pictures, not the best sense they hate to have their picture taken, but was hoping that some one could confirm what they both are.
The female is the larger one -- her "face" isn't as bright as the males, her stripes are thiner and her tail doesn't have any stripes on it -- compared to the males.
Here are the pictures.
Male -- note the tail
The female is only showing her face -- can sort of see the difference in the brightness of the face -- bigger difference in person
Decent side view of the male -- female in the background
Decent side view of the female -- male in background
Just female, side view
Bit blurry but shows the difference in the size of the stripes.
Sort of shows the difference in the faces
I guess I don't care that much, but just wanted to know if they are both clarkiis and if there are differences b/t males and females as they age. They spawn about every 3 weeks.
TIA
