last night I was intently watching my cleaner shrimp (first time I really got a good look at them since I got them), and noticed quite a few white 'bugs". I I have seen pods on a peice of LR, never up close tho. they are a light color (very very very pale brown- white and are long (body is small, shape is long), they range in size from the size of a needle point to the lenght of a pencil earaser (sp?), and have many legs and anntena (sp?), the cleaner shrimp I have seemed to be actively hunting them too, or at least they chased the ones they came across. are they pods?

The little while guys are probably copepods, and the longer ones sounds like amphipods from your descriptions......very good things to have around!!

Yes, they are 'pods, but 'pods is just a reefkeeping term for wide range of various crustaceans. They could be Isopods, Amphipods, Copepods, etc. The size description sounds similar to an Amphipod though.
