By the way, how can you get a good deal on a skimmer by lying? Maybe tell the seller that there is a pink elephant behind him, grab the skimmer, and run? :uzi:

Maybe he meant when selling it? For someone getting out of the hobby, maybe I could see lying about the age and actual run time of the pump. But based on my experience, it's mostly the people who rushed into the hobby and had little success. I actually got my 125 from a couple that were getting out of the hobby, and got quite a good deal.

Most long term dedicated reefers will want to help others out, and will also have a better understanding of actual item value.
