i'm not AS hard core as most of you....however, since i purchased and set up my tank i've spent over $900 on fish. I've gone through about 115 cichlids in 9 months! i put them in...they last about an hour and then...BAM dead. i once went to the store three times in the same day buying more!! cant figure it out, the water parameters are all good?

Well..
~ Corals and fish get fed before me or my man does, then the dogs, then humans.
~ Like kirsten I will call in to work or be late of my tank needs something
~ Spend $500 in test kits, testing is fun!
~ Drive an hour about once a week for water from AT .... man I hope I win that RO unit from Melev!
~ Waited 8 months with a fishless tank, for a pair of clownfish, and paid $200 for them.
~ Will shop at the dollar store for groceries/supplies just to save for the frags I saw last weekend.
~ Feed my hermits a pellet each with tweezers. Yea I know.
AND THE BEST ONE******* I told my man I would end our relationship and move if he didnt let me make our empty spare room into a prop room.... lets just say I have a prop room now

I've got a couple:
* Went fish shopping on my honeymoon in Hawaii and FedExed the fish home.
* Bought my pair of sharks on vacation, and then kept them in a cooler in my hotel room for the next three days (the store closed for the holiday weekend) with a powerhead and twice daily water changes.
* Nothing has strained my marriage more than this hobby.

That is a shame. My wife and I do everything together. I had fish when I met her (she was 12 and I went out with her older cousin, I am 6 years older) and I told her I would always have fish.
She comes on most of the dives with me and she even enjoyed the sharks in Tahiti.
As for the moorish Idol I had him about 5 years, then I lost most of my fish to an accident.

WOW ryan that looks worse than my ACL/MCL meniscus surgery!!!!! I feel for ya. Thats definatly hard core, I was in bed for a month, and had to sleep in one of those machines that move your leg up and down. Cant even imaging trying to frag corals or doing WCs, lol. Friggin wakeboarding, but it is FUN!
