Are you checking your zoos?!

Did you notice a problem with the zoos before find it? When was the last time you last introduce something into your tank?
I'm asking because I'm curious how long he may have been in there and a rate of damage (if you noticed any that is). I've read horror stories about sundial snails and how fast they can demolish a zoo colony but this guy is something else. I've got to go read that article :eek1:

Wow. So these are spiders... I noticed some of my zoos not opening up a few weeks back and pulled the colony out for a closer look. Sure enough I had 6 of these guys you have taken wonderful pics of. I grabbed some tweezers and started plucking. UhOh reminds me they are in the freezer frozen in a icetray... Hope the wife hasnt pulled it out for any reason. I will be sure to take another look tonight. Do these spiders just prey on zoos? Should I be worried about any of my softies?

The store were I got my zoos 7 months ago had these spiders. I found a couple which is why this thread was started. However, I was unaware that any more were in in the tank. I've added a few more zoos from my reef to this tank, but to be honest all of the zoos were declining over all. Maybe now they can reopen and be happy.

Pls keep us posted on the zoos and if they improve / general health, if there was any permanent damage/loss. I guess you'll have a new job of monitoring for any eggs to hatch.

HOLY COW that last pic looked like that thing from Aliens that sticks to your face. :eek2: shivers, I found a few fw spiders in the pool a few times when it was shutting down, not nearly this nasty.

I found another one today. :sad2:

If they improve, it will be because there aren't any left in the tank. There are lots of sad little nubs currently, and some tougher zoas that are open.
