Are your fish excited to see you, or just hungry?

Mine are usually just hungry.

Wow - that fox face is killer!

What type of wrasse (or maybe parrot?) is the one in the picture close up of the bandit?

Really cool looking tank - thanks for sharing!

You have a gorgeous fish tank!! I love that everyone looks so healthy and happy!! What are you feeding them that gets them so excited?

Beautiful tank. The colors just pop. Love the Midas blenny very underrated in my eyes. How's the lemon Peel in your reef. I'm a fan of angels and always heard they were terrors.

If I am in my living room my Imp. and CBB will not swim around the tank. They sit in the top left hand corner of the tank till I feed them.

When I lived elsewhere and had a different tank, I would get home from work, {tank was in kitchen by the door} and my wiener dog would run around the table excited & my adult sailfin would do circles around the tank, both happy to see me in my opinion. He never did that at feeding time, just when I came home

Thank you, The wrasse you are referring to is a Elegant coris wrasse, Venustus coris out of Hawaii. This one is the male and the females are red.

Unfortunately she became blind and couldn't eat any longer and slowly withered away. It was very sad not being able to help. They used to spawn in my tank every night.

They are always hopeful for a snack. When my fish can't see me (I have to look in from the outside of the house) they are swimming lazily. When I'm around they follow me from one end of the tank to the other. They also know the sound of the freezer door clear in the other room. They are definitely an active part of the fabric of our home.

Sorry to hear that! Always stinks to lose a special fish.

Seriously, wonderful tank. Thank you again for sharing.

ps...love the joculator too!

I used to have close to 45-50 fish, But Dec, 2013 My back panel cracked and I lost almost everything. It took about 6 weeks to rebuild the tank and during that process my fish were being held at a LFS. But they all started dieng and by the time I had the tank back up in March of 2014, I came home with 7 fish. I lost almost all of my coral as well. Now it has been up and running for close to 18 months now and all of my coral was started from frags from friends.
I have close to 30-35 fish once again. I mainly have angels, butterflies and wrasses this go around.

My old setup right before the tank broke.

Then in March 2014 started over.
