Looks just like the stand/canopy I built for my tank except for the bulleyes trim on the stand, even the color. I'm surprised they didn't miter the frame on the doors. Is it solid oak or veneered plywood?
Doors and Molding are solid oak... The rest is veneered plywood... Really, for the cost, it couldn't have been too much more than I could have made it for... Unfortunately, I don't have the time nor workspace to make one right now... I couldn't be happier none the less...
Chris~ Yup... But I'm breaking down the 75g... I'll be down to 2 reef systems!!!
slick looking frag tanking randy. 24" cube?
how come you inset the tank in the stand instead of flush on top? inset looks best with rimmed tanks and flush with rimless, imho.
Its 24x24x21... So a little bit short of a cube... It is inset because I didn't want the starboard/sand to show should I ever decide to use it as a display... For now, it will be a true frag tank... Nothing except Egg Crate, Frag Plugs and Coral... Everything will be raised above the bottom surface, so no viewing will be lost... Really, going rimless was overkill for what I plan on using this tank for, but I didn't have one and wanted to see if I liked it so I figured it was worth a try...
