Areate the water

I'm looking to get some epoxy putty stuff but it says I need to add air to the water as it sucks oxygen away. Do I just get a small cheap air pump and air stone? How long does it need to be run for? I always associate air pumps and stones with tropical tanks.

What epoxy do you plan on using exactly?

The regular two-part we use for sticking coral to rocks works just fine with the regular pumps in the tank running; no need for extra aeration. If your corals are doing okay, most likely the turn-over rate in your tank should be enough to keep the water oxygenated.

I like to use the epoxy immediately before doing a water change, just so the water clears up a little faster, but even when doing nothing out of the ordinary, the epoxy doesn't seem to hurt anything.
