I placed my order within an hour of receiving the email. I ordered a LOT of stuff. Here's how I see the discount's breaking out...

1. Bulk stuff - like 2-part, GFO, ect. get's a moderate discount. Better price off an already very low cost.
2. Commodity products - hardware you could have bought from another site - a better, good, discount. Not as much as say... the big sales at Dr. F&S. But still the best price you are going to find on such hardware without catching a substantial sale.

I used this as an opportunity to load up on stuff I won't use for a while... like next year's suppy of RO/DI cartridges, more carbon than I can use in a year. Stuff like that. It wasn't gonna get any cheaper. And I'm happy for the opportunity to save some money in advance.

Thank you for everyone that made it possible to pull this group buy off. If there are any club members that would like to see a group buy from a specific source let me know and I will see what I can do.


Also a big thanks to BRS as they have made it very simple to set this up and customer service was great.

Scolley, I did the same thing, stocked up on gfo, carbon, ro/di filters, mesh media bags, filter socks, etc. Saved a good penny so thats always a plus.

I am now $300 poorer! :eek2: I picked up a new reactor, carbon, and some base rock for cooking until I am ready for a new setup, among a few other things. Good prices, and I am a big fan of BRS anyways.

Good prices on all of the bulk supply items, but I'm a little disappointed that they are out of stock in nearly all of the normally used Salifert test kits, there were several items I was going to purchase (they must be very popular) and they do not have them in stock. You can not place an order and have it on "back order". They are simply not available.

Same here. I got one - Ca I think - but could not get Alk or Mg.

As I understand it, supplies of some Salifert kits run out every year - Mg in particular. Apparently the have one production run of some kits (like Mg), and distributors have to order what they think they will need. And when they run out, they are going to be out for a while. Bummer.

Yep - me three. I picked up the CA also. The Alk would have been nice. I picked up the refractometer and another N22 Frag Rack.

Anyone have a couch I can sleep on when the wife sees the Credit Card statement? :hammer:
