Anyone use it to raise Alk?

I dont know if its thats the same as Arm & hammer baking soda?If it is then yes I use it for bumping alk in the summer months.
FWIW- Reading some of the off brands ,I noticed impurities in all the ones I checked out with the exception of A&H,whitch was the only one I could find that listed 100% sodium bicarbonate-whereas the others listed some form of phosphate amongst other things I cant remember what were though.

From searches I've done it looks like some people use it but more people bake their baking soda to get sodium carbonate. Something about the purity not being as good because it's not food grade.
baking soda = sodium bicarbonate
washing soda = sodium carbonate
baking soda = sodium bicarbonate
washing soda = sodium carbonate

I've used both.
Washing soda is (essentially) baked baking soda.
I like to bake my own.
