Army of snails

Its just getting out of hand now. Before the lights go off literally an army of tiny snails come out of everywhere. They are feeding off something and multiplying like crazy. I have not fed since Sunday hoping that might make them mad or something, I was just trying something i'm getting desperate. What can I do to get rid of them? I also have snails in the tank I want to keep.

it would help knowing what type they were, are they pyramid?

no they are not pyramid, well if they are baby pyramids they don't look like the bigger ones I have seen. But they are so small that its hard to tell, if they are pyramid snails my zoas are screwed because there is literally at least two to three hundred. They have two little antenna or eyes not really sure how to describe. The shell is white almost translucent in appearence. I tried squashing some with my finger and it was like shoving a ball pointpen through my finger, they would not break.
