ARO Electronic Ballast Questions???

I am currently looking purchase MH for my 180 Gal tank, and I was loking for some feed back. Thanks for all you help in advance.

1. Are the ARO Ballast's reliable?
2. Has anyone had major problems?
3. Are Ice Cap ballast better than the ARO ballast (if so why)?

i just bought three 150 watt and they are great, in fact, they might still be on sale at hellolights.

they run cool and i made a board to mount them on. Im only 15 so didnt have the money to buy icecaps. i like these alot tho, go for it.

I have an ARO ballast for my 'fuge light. Works excellent.

I've run a pair of 150/175's for about 1-1/2 years and they were about a year old when I got them. No problems for me. I can't really tell they're running if I touch them.

Anyone have a review about the Ice Cap ballast?

I tried the IC ballasts first before I got my ARO ballasts. The IC ballasts gave me some trouble light some bulbs....especially the XM bulbs. The ARO lights up every bulb I put in it. I prefer the ARO also because it is a commercial grade ballast.
