Aron's 2012 Build

I still have quite a bit to do: paint the overflow pipes, clean up the lights, organize wires in stand.. Easy stuff but I get lazy! Haha

lookin sweet....I like the sand bed mix..what are you going to do for a canopy?? What is your lighting cycle time like with the LEDs? Have you seen a difference in growth yet?

haha My one and only hamster " Hollywood Hamster" died about 8 years ago, possibly longer. He/she was a cool little critter.

I think I'm just going to let the LEDs hang, but chop off the extra wires. Im keeping my eyes open for some cool lamp shades to put over them though.
Im not seeing anywhere near the growth I had with my previous T5/LED set-up, its pretty disappointing. Ive actually lost a couple small SPS colonies.
This time around I decided to use Royal Blue/Blue/UV/ XML Neutral Whites- Im not sure if I currently have too much or not enough light.
LEDS are 3pm-11pm UV
3:30pm-11:30pm RB/B
6pm-9pm XMLs
All of my monties are growing very fast, one GBTA is happy towards bottom of tank, but my RBTA is on the very top rock at the very very surface, so its a bit confusing. Some SPS are doing excellent, some are slowly bleaching. My LPS are doing great.
My fish also have this on/off cycle of ich going. They never stop eating but the spots will appear and disappear. I've been using Herbtana, but that seems to be killing my Fungias.

WoW - that sux's about the ich. That would drive me crazy :headwallblue:. But you could find some cheap lamp shades at Ikea or maybe even a Ross.

That looks really good. I have never liked the way hanging lights look but never thought about putting a shade on them. Thats brilliant and exactly why I read the forums.

FTS is here! Haha it's so hard to take pictures of tanks, as I'm sure you all know! Sorry to keep you all waiting.
Still waiting for corals to grow in as I've switched lighting 3 times now. I can say that I'm very happy with my ATI fixture I picked up from Gary ( thanks again!) I've seen such a positive response since switching to T5s. My Corals are coloring up nicely now.
Well here are the pictures
