I've been trying to remove my rbta off this rock so I can get it out of my tank. I put an MJ1200 directly on it for over an hr. It blew so strong the flesh of the rbta out to fall off. Still won't let go!! I repeatedly put about 6 bags of ices on its foot. This goes on about half an hr. The rbta looks ****ed off and could possibly be hurt. It still won't let go!!! ***!! I am so ****ed I've been doing this for almost 2 hrs!!

Btw this is my second day doing this. The first time was a few days ago. I'm so ****ed I want to kill it.

Try using your finger to irritate the foot. Target right at the edge of the foot. I've done this a couple times. You need patience, but eventually you'll be able to get a finger under the lip and then it goes fast.

Try placing something above it to cut out the light. Had the same thing happen to me until I put a rock above it. The nem was out of its nook looking for light in about 1 hour.

I've never had great luck with all the "tricks" people have for getting an anemone off of a rock. I've resorted to grabbing a hammer and chisel, and cutting the rock apart, or digging about 1/2" under the foot. Just be careful not to damage the foot. It took a while, but at least I knew I was making progress.

Removing this rock won't be possible. The rock is a big one, around 15-20 lbs with all kind of corals on it. The rbta is literally so exhausted right now it can't even support itself up. It is dangling with its foot still wedged in. I can't believe how stubborn it is. I'm thinking all that ice could have damaged its tissues. It was releasing the slimy goo on the ice bags. I dont care anymore I want it out of my tank.
