Small update, got a new skimmer thanks to Mr. Phi! It's an SWC 150. Cant wait to see what kind of crap this thing pulls outta my tank.

Look at the clearance between the filter sock and skimmer!

Iono how im gonna change the sock. Maybe ill need a new sump soon?

That's a super nice skimmer there. Big difference compared to the Coralife.

I agree. I raised mine up using egg crate but used pvc tubing for the legs. Drill a hole through it, then ziptied it to the crate and it's very stable in my 15" waterline sump. Nice and clean.
If you're by Lodi, I have plenty of tubing left that I can give ya.

Sounds like a good idea. I still have some pvc laying around from the overflow plumbing.

Made a little stand for the skimmer with pvc today and also raised the standpipe in my overflow so theres no more splashing noise. Oh and I picked up a couple peppermint shrimp.

Can anyone tell me what this is? Looks like a green and brown anenome
