Artificial Rock Work

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I remember awhile ago a post about a person or company that made artificial rock, especially arches. Any info would be appreciated.

The primary company that makes artificial liverock is Cerameco. The product is VidaRock and is only officially carried online at Aqua-Tecture. I'm fairly sure all the LFS here can order it directly from Cerameco, but not sure if you can pick the handmade pieces by picture like you can from Aqua-Tecture.

I ordered a nice piece from them a while ago, I'll post some pictures here in a minute...

OK... I ordered a 10lb 14x14½x11 VidaRock Centerpiece 'AT288' from Aqua-Tecture. It arrived in very sturdy cardboard, completely spray foamed on the inside. Despite their best efforts, the rightmost tip of the piece had broken off in 3 pieces. There was slight chipping throughout (seems to be a theme with every piece I've seen - you won't see if after coralline algae grows over it though.) Nothing a big of superglue didn't fix. It's the best piece I've seen from them (imo,) and it was $115 ($135.5 after shipping)

And wet in the tank (with the free small VidaRock Barnacle they included):

And a quick shot of a cultured VidaRock 12-Plug Frag Rack I picked up for super cheap from Carlos at the Aquarius: here

My buddy is starting a mantis tank and picked up this great looking grotto for $50.

There is another option, locally, if you're into that. A guy in Mesa is making custom pieces from local red clay. Pretty new process, but very cool.

Nice rockwork, it fits the tank perfectly! Great choice and sweet tank.

Ps. Have you ever thought about painting the back of your tank? Or you can simply cut out a piece of black poster board. It would hide your electrical cords, tubing and etc.

Thanks for the compliments! That Solana is actually awaiting an early retirement, I purchased a custom 35g AIO 34x16x16 from PicOAquariums that will replace it this month. Hopefully the VidaRock will fit into the new tank, or it will be sold along with the tank, sump, and skimmer.

I used to do a "Make you own live rock" demo for my old club in Michigan. I have been thinking about it again, but there would need to be a place to do the demo and keep the rock for 24 hrs.

How much are looking to make/get?

I have a garage im open to letting you use and store the stuff for 24hrs

That's very kind of you but Apache Junction might be a little far for most.

I could always just do a demo at pranksters to show everyone how it is done on a small scale.
