I will get a better pic of the T. Person.. only 3 1/2" so the black band hasn't started to come in yet.. Got these females off LA DD last week.

The blueline trigger as well. All are getting along famously.

Looking for a conspic now ;)

Nice... That looks like a male scribbled angel. U sure its a she? Pretty sure mine is a female and is much darker than yours.

Everyone is eating but today the T. Person didn't want any food... Mysis and pacific Krill... She is the one with the spots which is why I'm running Cuprimine. Any thoughts?

I believe all the smaller scribble are females. They have to get to a length of at least 5'' to become a male

Sometimes the black band takes some time to appear of the personifers and sometimes they develop it much earlier. You are a brave man keeping a fuscus with a personifer and then possibly adding a scribble and conspic. If you have an established fuscus in your display and then you add a conspic down the road your asking for some heart break. T

I don't think anyone could positively ID your scribbled as a male/female at its early stage.

All juvi's look like males until the get somewhere around the 5" mark. Regardless, male/female its a beautiful fish that will eat out of your hands and BEG for food!

I love mine and wouldn't trade/sell her for anything!

Are you consistently monitoring your ammonia in that QT tank? What water did you use to set it up? Can you give us the details of the QT setup? i.e. filtration/water

I would add some more pipe in there as well to give the fish more spots to take refuge.

At that size your scribbled is still juvenile/female. Remember that all angelfish are protogynous hermaphrodites, only changing to male in adulthood under the right circumstances...

This is not uncommon when treated with copper. If the fish has good fat reserves and is otherwise healthy it should be fine. Be sure it adapts to the copper and begins feeding, and stay on top of water quality by removing uneaten food...

Copps

There are 3 pipes in there.. that is just one corner of the tank. I always remove uneaten food and test nitrites/ammonia daily.

T Person ate the first day but wont eat anything now.. everyone else is eating like a pig.

Uh, not to complain, but where is the C. personifer? I see a Scribbled and a trigger in the pic.. Two fish, but only one angel.

Perplexed,
Matthew

ENT--I hope you don't mind I update here on your original post.

I received the pair back in Dec 2011 from ENT

There's more yellow dots on this personifer than my other two which are bigger but none of them have the black stripe.

thats a lot of specs on that personifer, looking like a male? is it the only personifer in the tank? i am wondering if these fish would convert to a male if its only the personifer in the tank.

DD sold that fish as a true personifer?

the black stripe on my 5.5-6" TP tail is showing a little more, but still not distinct yet. I've had mine since sept 2011.

I just asked Jawsee yesterday and he said his 2 TP, hes had for about 2yrs and are about 15cm(6"). The pic of his are on post #330 of his thread.
