ASM g4+ questions

Is anyone familiar with this skimmer? I'm looking at one used, and I know its more than three years old, is this the same skimmer I see in the shops today, or has it changed?

I have the g4 & works super and it does a nice job, lots of skim ,there is a mod for it, a water control valve.(I never used it)Used to contron water level in the sump . the only problem i ever had was removing the collection cup ...It locks tight but allways comes off . Make sure your sump will have the room it needs because of the large foot print. other than that its one awesome skimmer that runs quiet.I dont think they changed much.

I'm comparing it to an sro2000, the foot print and watts are much higher.

I think they are essentially unchanged. Great skimmer. I wasn't super happy with the way the parts sealed together. I cleaned my G4x once a week and it was kind of a PITA to place and remove the collection cup just right. I can't imagine what would happen if it sat longer. That's another reason I switched to the SRO. It's a great skimmer though.
