ASM or Octopus protien skimmer?

I think OR is a good pump for the money (I know this is a skimmer thread) but I will NEVER do business with Aquacave ever again. Poor customer service, wrong items shipped and they flat out lie about what you are getting for your money.

I want to redo my SUMP as well, but I need to factor in a skimmer and don't feel like dropping 5 bills plus on just the skimmer a lone.

I'm still indecisive with which route I want to take, but I couldn't agree more that water changes are the best EVER.
