ASM skimmer mod

I am planning on doing the recirc mod to my ASM G2, I want to have my overflows drain directly into the skimmer at a little less than 300 gph

my question is will a 1 inch uni-seal and flex tube be able to handle up to but no more than around 300gph gravity fed or should I go a little bigger just to be safe?

ASM recommends running no more then 200gph through your skimmer.

id calculate running 1.5x your tank volume and run that # to more adequately feed your skimmer. if you feed that much, you wont be getting enoguh contact time.

anyhow hths a bit.

I'll check that out, For some reason I had 300 gph stuck in my mind. if it's 200 gph then I'll be fine. thanks.

That brings up another question I just came up with. Is there a reef safe gauge I can put on my return plumbing with a valve so I can throttle my pump to a certain GPH?
