There are several DOZEN different types of Asterina's. Yep, several dozen.
Some are harmless, some are not.
If they are hanging around your glass, probably the good ones.
If they are hanging In, On or under your corals, probably not good. lol

Lots of people confuse detrivores for eating their corals because if a coral isnt doing so hot and there is dead tissue on it they will pick the dead tissue off, and its actually helping. Its tough to say but I was taking mine out until i saw a few in there that had def made it past my genocide and must have been in there for months and didnt hurt anything so now Ive let them live and havent had any problem. Either that or they are just scared of what I will do to them.
