Asterinas & Stomatellas - Oh My!

After seeing a couple asterina stars on my LR, I did a search and found out that there are many different types and while some may be reef safe, others are not.

I've picked off a couple that I've seen today, and now I'm feeling paranoid about other things I see here and there!

I've seen a couple snails that I think are stomatellas... 99% sure after searching here and google. Are they ok, or should I pull out the ones I see?

I have had the for some time. No way to eliminate them at my point. Luckily I haven't notices problems.

Asterina stars tend to be more of a problem in newer tanks. They rarely are a true problem, but can be a little unsightly when their populations soar. I wouldn't worry about them. Stomatella snails are good to have, harmless herbivores.

I have both, they don't bother my corals so I don't bother them. I have actually caught my stomatella spawning a couple times too :)
