i have a lot of them in my tank and so far i've only seen them on frag plugs often, not on the corals themselves... i'm keeping a close eye on them though...
UPDATE!!!!! I will be posting later today some pictures of an attak on one of my Sps colonie...............they have detroyed it almost over night. wait to you see you this little devil star fish can do when they are in numbers. If you have them pull them out as fast as you can. I will post pictures of the two types of asternias in my tank and yes there is a green/blue looking one.

I went over to Garfs website and they have a pretty good article about these eating corals, it seems there are harmless ones and bad ones, the bad species seem to be mishaped, like one or 2 really long arms, could just be the ones they caught looked that way.
I'd link here but don't think it's what RC wants so just do a search and see what you think about their findings.

Yes I have read the artical on garfs web page and they seem to think that they will eat Sps as well. I will look into this in a few more days and see what happens.
