astrea spawning

I looked in my tank tonight and I thought it looked cloudy. After searching for awhile I saw two of my bigger astreas on top of each other and one released a cloud (of eggs or sperm I suppose). Then three or four other snails within the smae proximity started releasing as well. It's peculiar that this would happen now while my halides are still on.

Is this a normal occurance and do I need to do anything, I assume my corals and skimmer will take care of it?

MIne have done this also with the lights on or off.

I would think they would want the lights off for that I know I do

no idea at all but when the lights are out if you look closely at the tank you can see them on the glass
