At the rain Forest Café and they no longer have fish

Took the family over to the rain Forest Café in Tempe for my son's 10th birthday this evening only to find out that there are no longer any more fish and they took out most of the aquariums.

I asked the manager what had happened, and he said that most of the rain forest café's are no longer going to have fish and aquariums. The fish that were at this location got moved to the Las Vegas restaurant as with most of the other locations that no longer have fish.

They turned the big tanks into large water systems with bubbles.

The Islamorada Fish Company restaurant has a a very large fish tank behind the bar that I estimate to be about 10,000 gals

Great tank over a the Bass Pro Shop, Elliot told me about it and we have been there a few times for dinner. It's a massive tank and a lot fun to sit back and watch.

I used to enjoy taking the kids to the Rain Forest Cafe and checking out the large tanks and fish. But it seems like all of the Rain Forest Cafe's are now going in a different direction. The one in Vegas is going to keep its tanks going, but most of all the other restaurants are shutting them down.

I wonder if they just didnt want to deal with the expense at most of their locations anymore or if it had something to do with the one resteraunt who had a seem burst on a tank. Although it sounds like they will still have water filled tanks, just not aquariums.
