Hello, I have an ATB 1050a skimmer that suddenly started acting weird. It was working fine this morning...tons of tiny bubbles blasting up through the bottome plate.....large bubbles bursting at about the bottom of the cup.....nice foam. I came home tonight and have No foam...No bubbles in the neck, and bubbles barely rising above the water level outside the skimmer. If I turn the adjustment tube 180 degrees, bubbles will rise up the neck, but not the tiny, fine bubbles this pump has been producing. Air hose is not kinked, however it does not sound like it is pulling as much air in as before. If I put my finger over the tube, the water level will rise up to the junction of the cone/skimmer neck, and the pump shakes some.
I did take skimmer and pump apart last week to clean, but it has been working fine until today. I took the pump apart again tonight and everything seemed fine.....nothing clogging it.....no pegs on pinwheel broken.
The only thing I have done is replace my RO membrane and filled my top off container with it last night. It probably did not call for any top off water until today after I was gone. I let the RO unit run for an hour, water down the drain, like the instruction for the membrane said to do, then I filled the container. This ever caused problems for anyone else? Any other ideas or things I should check?
