ATB skimmer

I'm not on here as often as I used to be, primarily b/c of school. When I do sign in and browse around I don't see ATB skimmer posts so often, but anyway... Can anyone share their experience with the ATB Elegance 200 skimmer? If so I'd appreciate it!

Thank you for the heads up. I'm just trying to decide on that skimmer or another on an aquarium with a little over 300 gallons of water (fish only) with the addition of ozone shortly.

I have one that will be for sale soon it's all cleaned up just sent the pump to atb for tune up pm me if you are interested I will let you know when the pump is done .

what size tank?Yes I have had the skimmer. It does work well and is quiet. It is more sensitive to water level changes and the neck getting dirty due to the conical neck. But overall its a nice skimmer.

Do you need the shorter skimmer?
I have the elegance 200 and a 1050a body ATB skimmer and I think the taller regular sized skimmer works a little better.

Height isn't an issue. I have an orca 250 on it right now and aren't too impressed with it. I do prefer recirc models as I was eye balling the SRO 3000 external. Mojo, there is a little over 300 gallons total water volume. Jc thank you for your feed back on that. I noticed that the body was short on the elegance. Since I can remember one factor that was always a point is contact time.

The skimmer is touchy but does work well the 1050 is the best they sell IMO I have had several of there models so far that one is the best

I have one and really like. It's much quieter than any other skimer I've used and I'm also really happy with it's performance. I used to use a WM K2 skimmer and this skimmer is much much quieter and skims better as well. I'm using it on my 150g SPS reef with 16 fish including 2 large tangs.

Here's a pic with a few days of skimmate.
