ATI actinic or purple plus

Hello. I have a 6 bulb fixture in my rsm 250 with mainly sps corals. Now i keep 3 blue plus, 1 actinic, 1 coral plus and 1 purple plus, but i am thinking about replacing the purple plus with another actinic bulb. Would this inprove growth or not? The tank looks quite pink atm.
Also, does anyone know if the ati actinic promotes growth or is it strictly "pop"?

Thanks in advance, fredrik

The actinic does have a different spectrum than the rest. I would not think it increases growth or color on it's own. I like the geissman super actinic bulb myself.

Lighting is just one variable when it comes to growth. Available food is usually more important IME.

I would replace the Purple with either a Blue Plus or Coral Plus if you want to tone down the pink.

Yeah, from what I've read the Coral+ and Blue+ provide the most growth in ATI bulbs. The Actinic is mainly for "pop". I've considered adding a second Actinic to my fixture for just that reason.

I have that same combination and really love it.

Thinking to try the 3B+ and 3C+ but I don't want to loose the Actinic pop that I have now in combination with the ReefBrite.

Did you try moving the P+ to the last channel. I have it there and my tank don't seems too pink.
