Ati powermodule bulb combination

Lately i been experiencing color loss in my corals with some even going as far as bleaching out from the fixture being to close to the surface of my 72 gallon bowfront (Was running 3 ati blueplus 1 ati aquabluespecial and 1 65k and one purple plus)....i have a 6 bulb ati fixture with bulbs 2 and 5 come on separtely from 1,3,4,6......i have acess to about 5 ATI blue plus one GIESMANN12k one ATI 14k one ATI purple plus one HAGEN 6500k and one ATI true actinic and i have 2 bulbs coming in the mail from UVL that were defected....they r resending me A UVL SUper ACtinic and a UVL 75.25.......with all those bulbs at my disposal what combination would u use?? AND with my tank having LPS and softies toward middle and bottom with SPS toward the top how far off the water would u reccomend i keep this fixture??

I have an 8x80 over a 6 ft 225. I have the fixture 12" above the waterline and the bulbs are 2 on, 6 on, then two on. If I run all 8 bulbs, I lose a lot of color.

Maybe replace on blue plus with a true actinic and don't keep all the bulbs on as kenith suggested.

I have a 8-bulb and use this combination:

2 12000K Aquablue Special
4 Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent
1 12000K Actinic White (50/50)
1 75/25 14000K AquaBlue

If the light is affecting your corals shouldn't you just move the light farther away from the surface? I keep the light where the corals seem happy with good color. You could experiment to find the sweet spot. I keep mine about a foot off the surface. I start with 2 on to simulate sunrise, then all 8 on for ~7hrs, then back to 2 for sunset.

Also, I've heard that the 6500K promotes algae growth, but I'm not sure if that is accurate.

I've got ati 6 bulb about 5 inches above on my 90g. I don't have any bleaching a great colors running the following bulb combo
