Help me decide between a 8 or 10 bulb ati powermodule for a 120 gallon 48"*24"*24" and some Bulb choices Tank is going to be sps and lps.

Thanks for the suggestion just read up a little on the sunpower's seems like the only major difference is the fans not to sure thats worth the price difference betwwen the two.Now I just have to figure out wich bulbs!!

also another thing to consider, you can even get away with a 36 inch 8 bulb fixture... I'm sure solitude will chime in, he knows what bulbs to run,

I've owned the powermodule and would get the sunpower were i to go T5 agais, unless I had the extra dough to spend. I agree with Saltwater on the 8 bulbs and even the 36". I had 8 on my 120 and it was more than enough, 6 could even do it but be more limited with bulbs. 8 is perfect :).

With an 8 x 54w, you'll get a lot of light spillage over the sides if you're not using it in a canopy. This is a reason why I went with 4ft fixture over a my 5ft tank. If the tank is no where near a couch or something, then it shouldn't be a problem. You'll be very happy with either fixture.

I was in the same dilemma and I ended up going with an 8 bulb 48" power module for my 120 4x2x2. I am curious to hear what people would recommend for bulb choice

Thanks for all the feedback guys all these lighting choices lol!! Now if i could get some bulb choices from all you experts that would be great :spin3:

Here's my current setup

This is about a 14K look. If you want a little more blue, take out the GE and put another coral+ or P+ in there.
