i dont think reefgeek has the ati fixtures but if they do lucky them they are very very nice i saw pics of them look better than tek or aquatinics but i could be wrong

Reefgeek is trying to get them imported supposedly, I am going to contact Greg, but hey he has one for sale..i will check it out.

I talk to Greg last week about these. The ATI fixtures will start trickling in the next month or so. Alot like how the ATI skimmers where pre buys for a few months. Then in early summer Juneish the dimmable T-5 fixture are suppose to be released.

Between Solar Flare and the ATI fixture there are going to be some real high end options.

check out the Fauna Marin fixtures, much better prices (supposedly, not exactly sure what the ATI prices are) and they are very nice fixtures. you can check them out at www.aquariumobsessed.com

Those Fauna fixtures are ugly compared to the ATI.

I like the 'functional beauty' of the Faunas, but I have to admit... the ATI powermodule looks sick. Is it worth the cost (about 2x that of the Tek)? Well, it not only costs 2x as much, but has 2x the output as the Tek... so you are getting what you pay for. From the operation standpoint, its a better deal than the Tek, since it creates 2x the output with the same wattage of bulbs.

I think the Grim reefer already tested the ATI against other fixtures.

Yes. With the exact same bulbs, the ATI was compared to a Tek. At the sand, the Tek made a PAR of 152. The ATI made 302.

WOW! Do you remember how deep the tank was? I'm wondering how it compares to an Ice Cap retro or the Aquatinics fixture?

Bout 17 inches under the water with the fixture about an inch an a half above.

As for Grman stuff being worth the price it depends. Som of those "german" lamps are about as German as Chicken Chow Mein
