ATI T5 Lighting Fixture

As I remember the ATI Fixture did 302
Aquactinic with 4 lamps did like 198
Tek with a fan did around 190
Tek with no fan did 152.

Serioussnaps are you going to snatch one of the ATI's?
I have been debating on putting one on order or getting the solar flare.

The only thing holding me back from the ATI is it hangs from the ceiling.
If it had legs, I think that would be the one for me.

I havent been able to find one except from Golfbomber...BTW golfbomber beautfil dog in the pic...i have a pit too.

I am seriously considering one of these fixtures...look at the par. I think it will be worth the dough due to the output. I did not know it was a hanging fixture only. I had my tek hanging last week but as of 2 days ago i put the legs on it and will NOT go back to hanging..it is ugly. I am sure we could find a way to mount the ATI fixture.

I think the fixture costs approximately 600 dollars for the 6 bulb fixture. Unfortunately golf bomber cant use his fixture because it is 6 bulb and I am going to be in the same boat. I am upgrading tanks soon and will be needing an 8 bulb fixture. I am not sure if they make an 8 bulb fixture, but i am researching.

Grim you said that you tested the ATI fixture? Do you have one? or was it a friends or what?

As for Grman stuff being worth the price it depends. Som of those "german" lamps are about as German as Chicken Chow Mein:D

It's funny how some people have a lower option of the Oceanrunner pumps when they find out there Chinese.

Grim you actually have one of the ATI powermodual fixture. Was that your connections or is someone getting them before ReefGeek?

I regret the halides I bielieve I am T-5 shopping again.:rolleye1:

I would think the solarflare would still out pace the ATI given a simular number of bulbs.

I'm sure you tested the Ice Cap retro as you're the king of T-5's. How do those par readings look like?

I was provided with a 4x39 220v version of the ATI for the testing. Reefgeek is the US distributor for ATI, I doubt you could get a 110v version before they will have them.

I didn't have a 39 watt retro system to put against these. I measured a 4x30 watt IC retro but it was over a larger tank using a different mix of lamps so cant really make a decent comparison.

Hey Grim...did you test the PAR of the Aquactinics with all 5 bulbs running? If so, what was it (understand that the color of the last bulb will impact)? Thanks.

^^^ Kind of a cool review I saw for the ATI powermodul, as well as the sunpower (ATI's version of the fauna-marin ultra-solaris and Aquaconnect lumimaster).

As for the 8 bulb units, yes, ATI makes 8 bulb fixtures (they make 10 bulb units as well... from 10x24watts to 10x80watts!)... you can check here to see fixtures from all the current mfg's in Germany:

And here you can see some other combos from ATI...

I did but don't remember th exact numbers, it didn't make much of a difference.

Heck yeah...now i know i can definitely go with the ATI. Even better they do 8 and 10 80W bulbs. I was going to go with a shallow tank but now that I know i can get a 10 bulb 80 watt fixture, depth isnt really going to matter. I dont know and havent heard of grim testing the 80 w bulbs in an ATI fixture but I am sure they are slinging far more PAR than a 54 watt bulb fixture.

Now if I could read German, I am sure i could get them to ship it overseas, it cant be that big of a deal.(my uncle owns and international logistics company so I know I can get my hands on it) This fixture is what I want but as of now I cant afford it, however, the wheels are turning.

Very slick fixture, and ATI screams quality.

Id just call Geek and see if they cant hook you up. I doubt you will be able to get a fixture by any other means, as anything you would find in the EU would be 220v, not 110v. So unless you have a plug for 50Hz 220v... you had best wait for ATI to send something through Geek. I know this though, that 10 bulb fixture will most likely be over $1000, if not $1200.

from what i know the 80 watt bulb fixture will not match to the usa. i want to order them but they not available for the usa . i go with the 8 x 54 watt fixture .

hey hahn i liked the fauna hood as well cked out the ati hood very nice so now im not sure what to do also seems to me the fauna hood costs quite a bit less then the ati will not sure if the extra 300.00 to 400.00 more for the ati is justified. i had asked u a while ago if u thought 2 of the 60" fauna hoods would be enough on my new aq 72x48x25 hope it will if not will get a third if u are out there grimm could use some of your expert advice as well thanks
