ATI T5 PowerModeule - 36" or 48"?

I am currently in the market for a ATI T5 PowerModule to light the new 48x24x21 rimless tank. I was told that the 36" fixture looks nicer than the 48" fixture because it really shows the rimless feature. Has anyone else done this and if so what are your thoughts?

I will be going with the ATI T5 10 bulb unit in either a 36" or 48" configuration.

Thanks

Jim

Do yourself a favor and get the 8 bulb fixture....you definitely do not need 10 bulbs over a 24" wide tank.

I agree with the above on the 8 bulb fixture. I had a 4'x2'x2' tank, and the 8 bulb is more than sufficient.

As for length, either will work. THe 36" would give slightly less light in the edges obviously, but it would be better for lower light coral.

I have a 48" fiixture over my 60" tank. If I went with the 60" fixture, I'd get A LOT of light spillage because my fixture is 8" above the water line. Any lower and I start to bleach corals.

IMO, go with a 8 bulb 39W fixture and you'll pretty much be able to keep anything you'd like

If you want SPS from the very far right to the very far left, get the 48" version. If you want a spot for some low light corals, go with the 36".

Also you will only want 8 bulbs. 10 bulbs will fry things.

I agree. The 36" will work fine on your tank. I use a 48" Powermodule on my 60" tank and have no dark areas.
