Ati t5 question

Ok so i have a quick question, i have a 36 inch 8 bulb ati dimmable t5 on a 48 inch long tank. The tank is sps dominated but i want to change from a 36 inch 8 bulb to a 48 inch 6 bulb. The question i had was will i have the same par i have with the 8 bulb or would it be less ? Reason why i ask is because almost all my sps are very colorful and i wouldnt want that to change but the ones on the end could use some more color/light. What do you guys think will a 48 inch 6 bulb be close in par to a 36 inch 8 bulb ? Unless i can raise the 36 inch a bit more to spread the light more. Im already at 9.5 inchs off the water line.

Thanks for the response i think ill lift it up 1 more inch, and test with a par meter.

Long time T5 sps dominated reefer here...

One missing piece of information for me is your tank's DIMs LxWxH. This will play in the whole PAR difference.

My hunch is that your proposed change is not an upgrade and possibly a down grade due to less flexibility in spectrum spread.

My tank is 48x24x24, i want to have sps pretty much everywhere with good amoumt of light. Here's a pic of my rock scape, I'm thinking of switching it up a bit like removing that rock in the bottom middle. Starting not to like the scape but o well ima go with it since its all cemented together.

Hmmm, idk i might or might not. I just need a par meter to see how much par im getting on the sides. I have a diy rapid led kit. Made it myself mounts up to the ati light.
