atlantic blue tang question

I was just wondering what the different coloration's mean if anything.

When I bought him he was grey with a real nice dark blue around his entire body. When they were bagging him he quickly turned grey with dark stripes, and he stayed like that for about an hour after placing him in my tank.

Now 3-4 weeks later, he is completely yellow? I was told by the fish store they turn yellow when adult, but on the internet I thought I read yellow was when they were still young. Anyone know the exactly what's happening and it's normal right? Want to make sure he's not stressed or anything.

He doesn't seem stressed, he does have issues eating though. He can get it in his mouth but seems to spit alot back out but I know he eats alot of algae off the veggie clips.

Yellow juvi
Blue adult.

The stress of it being caught could easily change the color.

+1 to above - i had one from a juvi as well - be careful though, when mine started to get his adult colors he aggressive towards EVERYTHING. To the point where other fish had stopped eating and i had to remove him. not sure what size tank you have but a 6' tank is going to be a minimum i would think. i would say at least a 180 or 220.
