ATO hookup question

They call me EC
How do you hook up the float switches so that the RO/DI comes on when the water is just a few inches deep in the reservoir and shuts off when it reaches the top? I can only figure out how to keep the water at a constant level.

Depends on what ATO you have...

I use a JBJ ATO and it comes with 2 float switches and 3 different modes. If I remember correctly the 3rd mode allows you to do exactly what your saying. Only problem is an RODI isn't run by electricity so someone will have to chime in on how to get an ATO to open the flow.

Thanks for the reply. I can't find a manufactured ATO that will do what I want, so I'm buying parts to build my own. I can have the float switches control a solenoid that turns the RO on and off. I just can't figure out how to keep the bottom switch from turning the solenoid off when the water level begins to rise. I don't want the Ro to turn on every time the ATO pulls water from the reservoir.

Is there not a way you can get a controller similar to the JBJ that will tell the bottom switch that when it drops turn on solenoid until the top switch rises? Maybe a controller would be able to do this. I know the reefkeeper has a float switch accessory.
