I will look into those but all I need to control automatically would be topping off.

A plus, if I can afford would be a system to keep Ca and Alk at the right levels. (Which is why I am researching kalk etc.)

I would love a controller to do this but I don't need all the bells and whistles such as pumps and lights and temp.

Just Ca and Alk and probably pH.

Don't get me wrong something that advanced would be awesome but I don't NEED something that advanced and I'm not sure I'd even know where to start after opening the box. LOL

With a two part dosing and the use of pumps how do you determine the amount being pumped at a time, intervals etc.?

Just a side note: if you DO overdose kalk, bar soda water will fix the ph rise. Just be real careful, because the ph falls fast on its own, and it's easy to overdo the soda. Just dose by tiny dashes over a period of time.

For two part which I have been doing. I typically test every few days and change the alk, ca accordingly.

To put two part dosing on a controller to make it automatic confuses me. How does someone know the rate Ca and Alk are used?

Test for a certain time period, set it up and keep testing/making changes till it is set?

How do you know when it is close enough to perfect?
