Attaching a pulsing zenia frag?

Put it in a small rubbermaid or bin with a bunch of rubble at the bottom. It will attach to something within a week. If it's a lager frag, you can try a rubberband technique, but Xenia can be difficult due to it's soft/slimy nature.

I put a tupperware cup in the bottom of my tank, filled it with some rubble, and left for two days. They attached within the first 12 hours, but I left it to be sure. You can drill holes in the sides if you're concerned about flow, but mine were fine.

Thanks all, I think I'll go with the rubble idea. It's already in a tupperware container in the bottom.

I would use a plastic toothpic to help the attach. just stick it through the stalk and into the rock, pull the toothpick out in a couple of days

Put a rock against it a little higher than it and it will attach its self to it. They seem to like to move up when spreading. Mine do anyway. and they split like weeds.

I used super fine fishing line (fly fishing leaders), threaded it into a standard needle and stuck the needle straight threw the base/stalk. Just wrap the line around the rock piece and tie it off. This also works well for mushrooms and other hard to attach softies.

Thanks all, I was able to get the Xenia to attach by putting rubble in a small container and covering it with wedding veil. After two days, the xenia picked a rock and attached nicely.
