Attaching Leak Sensor To BB?

I just got my BB's but an unsure how to attach them. I have a red and green wire on my sensor. The directions say

1) mount the sensor where it will be desired.....
2) connect the wires to alarm output
green wire to postive or normall yopen connection
red wire to negative or common connection
3) the sensor is now ready to detect flooding and when water reaches the two terminals the alarm will activate
4) how to connect for dry contact
normally open application
green wire to nornally open
red wire to common
normally closed application
green wire to common
red wire to normally closed

put the red wire to #8, the other to #1. When dry switch1 should show as OPEN. Dip in a glass of water, it should show closed. If not, just reverse the wires and try again.

Put this in the SndAlm outlet:

If Switch1 CLOSED Then ON

The controller should sound when the sensor detects water.

Got it, thanks. I did as you said and got nothing. As soon as I switched them around the display started chirping.

So for any other things I might add I'm simply adding another wire to the ground socket and then the other wire to any available outlet between 1-6? Sounds easy enough.

Thanks again!

Yep, got two of the ones from the manual. I was planning on putting one next to my sump and another in the garage at my mixing station. I'll probably add more and was thinking about putting one by my RO unit. It's in my boiler room behind closed doors on a different level of the house.

I assume the water sensor would work if I spliced a longer line, say 50' or so and ran it to my BB.

No, you would need another module like a PM1 or PM2 and then the naming convention changes based on the module number. They become Switchx4_1 for example if the module aquabus number was '4' and it was at position #1. This is laid out in a chart in the User Guide.

Duh, I should know the naming convention by now.

The second BB would go to either a pm1 or two. I have both.

Thanks!

I thought you had to purchase additional parts as well as that leak sensor? There are two lines on that leak sensor and that is all you need?

The one he's talking about uses just 2 wires and works just like a float switch. The other option, the 'Waterbug' style is a mini controller that handles multiple sensors yet reports out on just 2 wires. These are powered and a bit more involved but you get more sensors per switch so to speak.
