At least I didn't drink any... This time.....

How do you start the siphon? You silly girl. ;)

You both know that there is an easier way to start a siphon for a water change that doesn't involve getting any saltwater in your mouth.

Have one end of the hose in a bucket, outside the tank, the other part in the tank. (( works best if you use a gravel vac hose -- with a wide part at one end )). Put that side underwater, then left it up. Right when the water hits the other end put your finger over that end. Put the wide end back into the tank -- and release your finger. The water should start flowing.

Sounds a bit difficult, but it takes all of 5 seconds to do.

ya i know (which makes it even worse)...i was in a rush to get a quick water change in and made a complete *** of myself...it still gives me a woozy stomach when i think about it.

I'm sure it would but I'm not about to try it! LOL!

Yeah I'm gettin' pretty good about sucking the end of the hose and releasing before I get any in my mouth now ;)

But I've drank my fair share of salt water both from tank and from the actual ocean!
