Attempt at helping the overheating NC6

I set up a NC6 this winter and it ran at 80 degrees all the time.
This week the temperature outside reached the lower 90's and I noticed that my tank was getting up to about 88 degrees. I cut my photo period in half--from 10 to 5 hours--this did little help.
My tank would start at 80 and slowly climb when the lights came on. So I decided to build a hood for it. The hood is 3 inches tall and 5 inches wide. This will leave about 7 inches of open top. The hood will house 2x18w pc's and 3 or 4 LED's. I will add the fans on the ends if needed.

I just finished putting the first coat of poly on it and will post pics soon.

here is a pic so far
